Mobile phones have become an integral part of our daily lives and mobile communications as such are seen as a commodity, as happens with well-established and successful technologies. Considering that the GSM is the most successful communications technology ever and that the “mobile broadband is the fastest growing technology in human history” as per recent UN Broadband Commission report, we can rightly say that the story of the mobile communications technology is all about success and achievements.

As part of the experts teams in industry lead companies R&D we are proud to have been participants in this exiting journey as well as direct contributors to the standardization of mobile systems primarily in 3GPP but also in IETF. However the technology is still evolving and challenges exist and are multifold. The intention of this blog is to share our knowledge and discuss mobile communications technology topics.
